Love God, Love people

"Come, let us bow down in worship,
let us kneel before the Lord our Maker;
for he is our God
and we are the people of his pasture,
the flock under his care."

- Psalm 95:6-7

Text

so its been over 3 months since my last post but over the past few days i’ve been burdened in my heart to write something. about what though i ask God?

the majesty of the Lord, His never ending authority, the splendour of His presence, His sovereign grace, that He sits on a throne in the heavenlies, that His power is immense and that He is OUR GOD.

HE is an INTIMATE God who belongs ALL GLORY on HEAVEN AND EARTH. and how guilty are we! we do not give our God the glory He righteously deserves. who in this place feels the immensity of the Lord’s authority and splendour? who in today’s world lives in the knowledge of this fact. for God wants all glory to belong to Him alone:

“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.” Revelation 4:11

Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. And they were calling to one another:

“Holy, holy , holy is the Lord Almighty;
    the whole earth is full of his glory.”

At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke. Isaiah 6:2-4

we exploit the material things of this world for our own selfish desire, we exploit the tongue which God has given us by wasting our breath on absolutely nonsense conversation, we exploit the body He has given us by foolish actions and desires, we exploit the church and its people for social gatherings and entertainment. where has the heart for the LORD gone? where is the one who wants ONLY THE LORD TO BE OUR FULFILLMENT and OUR JOY?

but praise be to the God of heaven and the earth that He is gracious, patient and forgiving. but we should never be satisfied. may the power of the Holy Spirit convict us of our sin, of our foolishness and our ignorance. may the work of the cross continually chip away at our flesh and its desires every moment of our life. Jesus didn’t die on the cross for you so you could continue in sin! He did it so you can be free from it! forgive us our sins God.. how truly helpless we are without you Jesus.

…To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:11

"What a wonderful Maker
What a wonderful Savior
How majestic Your whispers
And how humble Your love
With a strength like no other
And the heart of a Father
How majestic Your whispers
What a wonderful God"

- Chris Tomlin (Wonderful Maker)

"And I, when I came to you, brothers, did not come proclaiming to you the testimony of God with lofty speech or wisdom. For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified."

- 1 Corinthians 2:1-2
